ITE Arizona Section Officer Elections

The Nominations Committee has finalized the choices for officer candidates for the Arizona Section of ITE for the 2008-2009 business year. The candidates are:

2005 ITE Policy Review

The following revision to ITE Policy O-4 has been recommended by the ITE Policy and Legislative Committee at the request of ITE Arizona:
O-4. Traffic Control Device Operations and Maintenance
Current: Encourage all agencies having responsibility for traffic control devices to give high priority to operation and maintenance in conformance with current standards based upon sound traffic engineering studies to insure safe and optimum traffic flow.
Added text: THIS INCLUDES THE APPLICATION OF SOUND TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DECISIONS BASED UPON FIELD DATA AND OPERATIONAL ANALYSIS IN THE DESIGN AND OPERATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS
