ITE Spotlite – Call for Abstracts and Important Surveys of Our Membership

ITE Call for Abstracts is now Open for ITE NOLA 2020!

You are invited to submit an abstract in support of the upcoming Joint ITE International and Southern District Annual Meeting and Exhibition (#ITENOLA2020), August 9–12, 2020.

The program for the National Rural ITS Annual Conference will be integrated into this meeting with a track focusing specifically on topics relating to rural intelligent transportation systems.

2020 is the 90th Anniversary of ITE. This year’s theme, Celebrating the Past Shaping the Future, celebrates both the history of where we’ve been as a profession and sets the stage for the next century of transportation. ITE seeks abstracts that address the broad range of issues that underlie transportation’s transformative role in building vibrant, livable, and healthy communities.

Deadline to Submit: Tuesday, December 3

Seeking Input: ITE Survey on Prohibition of Turns on Red (due this Friday!)

The ITE Traffic Engineering Council is seeking critical input on a survey focused on assessing the current state of practice for the prohibition of turns on red. The results of this survey will be used to develop a new ITE Informational Report to replace the recently rescinded ITE Recommended Practice Guidelines for Prohibition of Turns on Red.

Please consider contributing your knowledge and experience as this important new resource is developed. Please respond to this survey no later than Friday, October 11th. Please also feel free to share this link with others that you think may be interested in participating. We greatly appreciate your input!

ITE Diversity and Inclusion Survey

We are working to advance diversity and inclusion within ITE. Please take 3 minutes to participate in this survey to help us understand more about you and your experiences.

The Diversity and Inclusion Committee wants to better understand our membership and your experiences with ITE. We have launched this survey as a way for you to share with us your experiences related to feeling accepted, comfortable, and welcomed within the ITE community, as well as how you see ITE leadership supporting diversity and inclusion through all levels of ITE. Please take a few minutes to provide your responses. The survey should take 3 minutes to complete and the Diversity and Inclusion Committee will use the results to better hone in on areas where we can improve inclusion throughout ITE.

We look forward to your involvement and feedback!
