Winner of Jenny Grote Student Leadership Award & May Luncheon

The ITE Arizona Section is proud to announce that Sravani Vadlamani (shown between Alejandro Angel and Jenny Grote on the picture to the left) is this year’s recipient of the Jenny L. Grote Student Leadership Award. Sravani is a fourth-year doctoral student in the Transportation Engineering program at ASU and previously obtained Masters degrees in Transportation Engineering and Geographic Information Systems from ASU, in addition to working as a Transportation Engineer II for the Maryland State Highway Administration. Sravani has demonstrated strong academic and technical skills and has also played major leadership roles as a former President and founding member of the ASU ITE Student Chapter. She is also currently serving as VP of Internal Affairs for the ASU Graduate and Professional Student Association and regularly volunteers her time with various groups to help those in need. As part of her award, Sravani will receive $1,000 and a $500 travel stipend to attend an upcoming ITE District or International meeting.

We’re also excited to report that we received a total of $690 in donations from members at the May luncheon and will be adding $1,000 from the Section for a total contribution of $1,690 that has been made in support of the Western District Student Endowment Fund on behalf of the Arizona Section. Margaret Boone’s presentation on Data Driven Safety Analysis has been uploaded to our Downloads page as well as photos from the luncheon, which can be found on our Photos page.

Thank you all for your continued support!
