AZITE January Luncheon

On Thursday, January 25 from noon to 1 pm representatives from the Cities of Scottsdale, Mesa, and Glendale will be sharing their experiences with special event planning and coordinating rideshare opportunities with companies like Uber and Lyft. Please join us as these cities share lessons learned and future plans.  A panel discussion is also planned after the short formal presentations by the Cities. This luncheon will be held at the City of Goodyear.

Nearly a half-million fans make their rowdy way to The Greatest Show on Grass each year: the Waste Management Open at Scottsdale Tournament Players Club. Walt Brodzinski will discuss the City of Scottsdale’s experience with accommodating and planning for rideshare with this event and others.

Coordination for any event can be tricky.  Sabine Ellis (City of Mesa) will be highlighting experiences at the Cubs Stadium and discussing the challenges associated with coordinating between the stadium’s existing contract with cab companies and incorporating rideshare companies into the mix.

Allan Galicia (City of Glendale) dealt first hand with rideshare operations at the 2017 Fiesta Bowl at the University of Phoenix Stadium.  Allan will explain how stakeholders worked together on coming up with a last minute, Plan B, on how to best handle the exponentially growing use of ride share.
