AZITE May Luncheon & Pics/Presentation from April Luncheon

AZITE May Luncheon – Member Appreciation Luncheon

The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 25, from 12 – 1 pm in the Giants Team Store at the Scottsdale Stadium located at 7408 E Osborn Road.  We will have a very informative presentation by Eric Anderson, Transportation Director, Maricopa Association of Governments, discussing “Technology in Transportation”, including a history of autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.

Since this is our Member Appreciation luncheon, there will be no charge for lunch, however we will again be accepting donations for the Richard T. Romer Student Endowment Fund. In past years, our members have contributed nearly $500 from this event alone, in addition to our Section’s $500 annual donation. This fund has greatly expanded student initiatives in the Western District of ITE with the objective of attracting the best and brightest to the transportation profession.  These include:

  • Waiving ITE Dues and subsidizing District Annual Meeting fees for students
  • Funding travel to District Annual Meetings through student competitions, student papers, student projects, the Data Collection Fund
  • Subsidizing costs for the annual Student Leadership Summit, which held its inaugural event in 2014
  • Sponsoring special events for students and professionals

Please consider donating through PayPal or bringing a cash donation to support the Student Endowment Fund!

We will be serving pizza, salad, dessert and drinks.
